Before and After-A Visual Story of Pine Daisy House
All of our before and after descriptions are in one place!!! I’ve compiled all the images, paint colors, and sources to help explain the progression of our cabin from 2015 to 2020. She sure has come a long way and I love how sleek, calm, modern and rustically contemporary she is!
This blog post is all about the visual journey. I’m letting the pictures tell the story. Links are added here and there for reference.
Enjoy the visual story of our cabin.

Paint Colors to Balance Wood Features
When we were under contract I spent hours and hours on Houz looking for paint colors that would compliment the wood features and tones throughout the cabin.
We knew we wouldn’t paint the trim or the window frames. It would be too monumental a project and we’d lose the quaint character of our late 1970s modern cabin. So I set out to modernize the look by striking visual balance with the paint colors I chose.
I landed on four primary paint choices that we use and reuse throughout the cabin. The top two colors in the graphic are Silver Drop and Dolphin Fin They are the main paint choices on the walls throughout our cabin. The darker two colors, Mink and Graphite are the features and accents through our home.
