Modern Cabin Craftsman Design
We couldn’t be more thrilled with the final result. While we are still waiting on a few last minute things like fresh trim and some minor clean up, everything is finished.
Aaron, our contractor, did an outstanding job with capturing our vision and putting his ingenuity as well as craftsmanship into the design.
My two favorite accents are the picture frame corners and the alternating designs on the stair frame for the front deck.
Our vision was to have pops of natural wood accent the modern composite and railing. He grabbed hold of that idea and ran with it. The result, in my opinion, is a modern cabin craftsman deck.

Outdoor Living
Our back deck is around 700-800 square feet. It’s large. We in all honesty live outside from May until late October. The back deck specifically increases our living space by approximately 25% every year. So to give it new life and maximize the new space we updated some of the functional as well as design (or pretty) elements.
Currently we have a simple rod iron table, chairs, table umbrella, a beautiful conversation set with seating for four and fire pit. We updated the chair cushions, outdoor rug, and added simple raised containers of flowers. With a few small additions of lighting, the back deck is ready for living and entertaining!
