Easter Place Setting and Tablescape Ideas
Spring is such a special time to celebrate new and beautiful things! For my table I kept things simple and the theme of Easter is abundantly clear when you look at our cabin dining room. Yellows, burlap browns, mossy greens are the accent colors while the entire table is grounded in crisp white and elegant linen blue.
I love to evoke the feeling of coming home to rest and relax especially when it comes to the dining table. Each season I use the blank canvas of the tabletop and create something beautiful. Spring is no different, and it’s even more poignant this year as we press in to family time during the Coronavirus Quarantine
This year I’ve remained grounded in natural elements.. Welcome to my woodland Easter table!

Tablescape Inspiration
Our spring table is blossoming with yellow flower buds nestled into small milk bottles. Small baskets, mossy Easter eggs and tiny sprigs of lavender welcome each member of the family to their seat. I’ve used paper mâché inspired decor elements such as flowers and carrots on top of a small bird bath. Everything sits on white linens with small embroidered pops of blue.
Peeking around the decorative elements here and there are tiny woodland creatures that I’ve collected over the years. They are made from natual elements and I love incorporating them into my decor.

Place setting variations
This spring, with the idea of being home for Easer in mind, I decided to create a few variations for my place settings. It’s fun what a little creativity and ingenuity can unfold, especially when you are home and can’t browse the shelves of the local stores.
Everyday dishes can be elevated and dressed up for an elegant approach to the holiday. White dishes, a ticking stripe napkin, neutral yet rustic silverware, simple glassware, all resting on a beautiful jute placemat is such a simple way to elevate my staple elements. And my sweet silverware pouch is found here. The simple pops of faux greenery add texture and elegance at the same time.
Casual never looked so classy! These precious paper plates are delightfully elegant on a simple gray and white placemat. To make things even easier, I picked these up on my weekly grocery trip for a a total of $7 for the set!
Finally, why not use the fancy china for a change? I loved unearthing this beautiful vintage family china, that’s nearly 80 years old. It may be my favorite place setting this year! I simply added a crisp white napkin and one of my own clear glass dessert cups to keep the dishware as the focal point!

Use what you have
In this season of being home, and therefore celebrating all things home, it has been a delight to use what we have. I have loved styling and restyling places at the table to highlight staples from my kitchen and decor cabinets. Celebrating family around the table is never out of style. Especially this Easter when we gather in praise to the One who made us what we are.
I hope as always you find inspiration and encouragement among these words as we all lean in and celebrate home, family, faith, and life.
With hope for you and your intentional home,
