Easy Christmas Desserts & Festive Treats

Every year during the holiday season we traditionally bake Christmas desserts or festive treats each weekend.

I’m not much of a baker, so let me me show you some of our easy bake favorites from years past.

Christmas desserts or festive treats are always on the schedule each Holiday Season. We bake one fun treat each weekend of the season and always look forward to this time of year baking as a family.

We enjoy making a few types of cookies. I keep things simple and will often pick one or two colors of frosting. The result is pretty, cohesive, and saves on supplies

Festive Treats for Breakfast

We love festive treats for breakfast too. A little store-bought dough, nutella, some powdered sugar, and voila! I followed this recipe/tutorial here. for this delicious Christmas tree puff pastry treat. The hardest part is making sure you don’t singe the branch tips of the tree. To keep that from happening, just put a little tin foil on the ends of the branches while the tree is in the oven, during the last few minutes of baking.

Christmas Dessert

Finally, on Christmas day we love celebrating with this magnificently delicious Candy Cane Cake. We’ve been enjoying it for years. Find the recipe here. The frosting is chilled whip cream and the decorative touch is simple crushed peppermint or candy canes.

As you plan or think about your grocery lists and menus this year, I hope these can be an inspiration. Baking with family in the kitchen is a great way to make memories and something delicious for all the festivities the season brings.

With hope for you and your intentional home,
