Small Batch, Slow-Cooked, Mulled Wine

This Mulled Wine will warm you up from the inside out.

Servings 4

Ingredients

  • 2 Mini Bottles Red Wine I used Pinot Noir, but Shiraz, Cabernet, Merlot, or Malbec would also do nicely
  • ¼ cup Apple Juice
  • ¼ cup Brandy
  • 2 T Maple Syrup
  • ¼-½ Sliced Orange
  • 2-4 Cinnamon Sticks
  • ¼ t Black Peppercorns
  • ¼ t Whole Cloves
  • 2 Whole Star Anise
  • 1 pinch Ground Nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients into your mini slow-cooker.

  2. Once seasonings are added stir thoroughly

  3. Slow-cook on low for at least 3 hours

  4. After slow-cooking is finished pour mulled wine through a fine mesh sieve into a mason jar.

  5. Enjoy immediately and garnish with orange slices and cinnamon sticks
