Farmhouse Style by Etsy
Farmhouse style is one of my favorite home design styles. I love its versatility and authenticity. Farmhouse style is a celebration of days gone by and intentional living. The decorative items are often sensible and humble in nature. It’s a celebration of handmade nostalgia curated over time.
My favorite aspect of farmhouse style is that it celebrates practical and easy living within the home. I also love that farmhouse style marries well with nearly every other design preference. Incorporating elements of farmhouse design into the home is easy and inexpensive.
Today I’ve rounded up some gorgeous handmade farmhouse decorative pieces from Etsy. So this post is not only a celebration of all things farmhouse, it’s a salute to creators, makers, and small businesses!

Our Home Decor Style
The design style at Pine Daisy House is centered in modern farmhouse style. I think digging into home decor style definitions is fascinating and I always land squarely in the modern farmhouse camp. Between the rustic country charm, and warm Scandinavian elements, as well as a slight embrace of minimalism I’m hooked.
I love bringing elements into our home that are handmade or thrifted. To take things even further when I can find farmhouse inspired decor items with a modern sensibility, all the better.
How to Easily Add Farmhouse Touches
We rented for years and I had to find simple, inexpensive, small ways to develop our home decor. I’ve shared some of these ideas over on my instagram account and they are a synch for anyone!
Starting small with a side table, a bookshelf, and a tablescape centerpiece is a great way to begin incorporating farmhouse decor. Choosing elements that are neutral for all seasons allows you to get the biggest bang for the buck.
There are no farmhouse style must haves but I will say that incorporating specific patterns, and a sense of handmade storied pieces with a modern flare is a great way to begin.
If you are looking to begin curating decor pieces that embody farmhouse style start with these ideas.
Home decor signs and address plaques.
Beautifully selected wall decor is almost as good as paint when looking to transform the design of a room. Beautifully painted portraits or hand lettered signs help incorporate farmhouse style into your home in a very quick and inexpensive way. Additionally, they are much more versatile than painting; you can change them with the season!
White, Pine, and Print on Etsy has a beautiful, clean and classic approach to home decor signs and sayings. Jenna creates custom wood signs with endless options. She carries various custom hand painted fonts, wood frames, sizes, and background colors to help home decorators create seamless farmhouse style. Every time I am browsing Jenna’s shop I “ooh and ahh” over all the sign inspiration.
Address Plaques and Outdoor Wall Planters.
Another great way to add farmhouse elements to your home is with some curb appeal. Updating house address numbers with a slight modern and handmade flair is great modern farmhouse style tip. We recently did just this when we updated the paint on our cabin style exterior.
We worked with The Honest Asparagus and love our new house numbers. We were able to customize the size, plaque and number color for our home. The result is beautiful. Kelly was immensely easy to work with, really responsive, and clearly takes great pride in her craftmanship.
Farmhouse Home Decor
As I work to curate a home that celebrates simple, intentional, and even handmade art I’m always on the look out for beautiful farmhouse decor. Creating small vignettes that tell a story, or catch the eye, help each nook and cranny of my home feel warm and welcoming. Well Molly’s work at Heart and Handmade by M does not disappoint.
Her Etsy Shop is full of thoughtful farmhouse decor elements that elevate small space design in fresh, thoughtful ways. Her beautiful hand lettered books, and spring bunnies are perfect for the season!

Leann also has a thriving website full of diy’s, e-design services, and blog posts to inspire your home with faith and joy.
Farmhouse Style and Handmade Wood Elements
No farmhouse style is complete without beautiful handmade work decor. HR Woodworking is the first shop I go to when I want to start dreaming up ways to add wood decor to my home. Wood elements add a beautiful depth and texture to any design and vignette. Because no home is complete without chippy corbels, these guys don’t disappoint!
Corbels are so versatile too! They can used as bookends, wall decor, or featured on a table top as the focal point. I love how these are created by hand and there are so many styles to choose from.
Storied pieces of decor that elevate your family’s life and intentional way of living are essential to the essence of farmhouse style. HR Woodworking does a gorgeous job of handcrafting wood decor that can add more pages to your family’s story and accessorize your home decor
