Simple and Rustic Spring Decor

Simple and rustic spring decor packs a big punch when it’s done right. Let me show a couple ways I’ve tackled the less is more rustic look for spring in our cabin.

This year decor in our cabin has taken a much more scaled back approach. I’ve been embracing hygge and nudges of nordic style in nearly every room. Spring decor continues that theme within our cabin. Our mantle, coffee bar, and dining room are ready for spring simply and in a meaningful way.

So rather than just show you pictures I’m going to bring you into my mental process of the why for these decorative spaces for my rustic spring decor.

Encouraging Rustic Spring Mantle

Jenessa Wait Poster

My two teens headed back to school full time this spring. After a year full of unknowns with school, their schedule normalized somewhat in March. For our mantle decor, I wanted to celebrate their work this past year and growth. Jenessa Wait’s beautiful poster is perfect for the mantle. It sends the exact message we’ve been pressing into with the kids.

The focus of the mantle is all about the beautiful script and poster from Jenessa, so I used a very simple birch log vase with bright faux ranunculus in all of the small flute vases along the birch log. I love yellow for spring and the few bright blooms are so cheery, perfect for the season.

Simple & Rustic Dining Room Decor

Last year our Easter table celebrated family heirlooms. This year I did something similar by using two hobnailed pieces from my husband’s grandmother’s downsized home. The bright, white, glass is perfect for spring and is a great reminder of family.

Easter is a beautifully powerful celebration of our salvation through Christ. So I always try to add pops of springy color throughout our cabin to edge us closer to the joy of the holiday. This sweet bunny has been part of our Easter decor for years and I always love incorporating it. The addition of the pretty decor beads, from Ruffled Nest Decor frames the vignette while it leans against. another family piece, the vintage serving tray.

Rustic Spring Decor with a Family touch

Spring in full bloom within these woods will be another few weeks. But Easter being in early April has helped me get some of my favorite springy decor pieces out of storage and prep the cabin for one of my favorite holidays and the foundation of our faith as Christians. I always love taking little travels down memory lane with our family decor items. The rustic weathering on them only adds to the joy of using each item once a year.

Happy Easter everyone!

With hope for you and your intentional home,
