2018 Favorite Things~Holiday Edition
Just in time for holiday gift giving is another edition of My Favorite Things. We’re all on a budget and work hard for the money we make. Many times, I’m considering a purchase but would love to know someone who has bought that item or has tried it. That’s where My Favorite Things comes in handy. Plus it’s another fun way to get to know me and my style. To make things even better, I’ve been really selective about these items, they’d make a great holiday gift!

So let’s jump right in!
Minnetonka Slippers
If you are interested in upping your slipper game, these guys are for you! I bought mine at TJ Maxx for $30.00 and love wearing them at home. They are so soft, comfy and warm enough without feeling like your feet are in a sweat box (I have an issue when my feet are too hot). There are several different styles and my pair actually has a little more of a durable sole, which makes them great for a quick trip to the mail box or even a PJ day at school! Put these on your Christmas list for sure!
Hearth and Hand Butter Server
Last year on one of our “goody table days” at school someone brought in homemade artisan bread and alongside her bread was a butter keeper, or also called a butter server. What was this incredible contraption? After a brief and amazing education I was on the hunt for one the next day. So when I saw this lil’ guy on the shelves of the newest Hearth and Hand Collection I squealed out loud. You can keep butter safely out on the counter for up to three weeks!!! Did you know that? Yep, just use this puppy. And it’s so stinkin cute right? This sweet stoneware butter server would make a great hostess gift!
L’Oreal Primer and Mascara
Have your tried primer with your mascara? This set is my first foray into the primer + mascara world. I have to say, it’s great. No flaking, it’s water resistant, and you can layer your coats of mascara really easily. I need my eye lashes to stay on point for up to 12 hours a day and I’ve loved using this product to do just that! If you are needing some stocking stuffer ideas!! This is a great choice!
Steve Madden Wedgie Sneakers
I love the snappy casual sneaker look. I’ve had a few pairs of sneakers in the past and wanted to add a little more heeled pizazz to my teaching wardrobe. I love these Steve Madden Wedge Sneakers. They are cuh-razy comfortable, super easy to walk in, and add just the right amount of height to my 5’5 frame. The price is a little high at about $90, but I signed up and became a Steve Madden Pass member and got a 20% off coupon. They fit true to size and this grey color is a great neutral for your wardrobe. Great for your holiday gift list. I highly recommend!
Dyson V6 Cordless
Dyson Vacuums are no joke on the ‘ol pocket book. Recently though Mr. PDH and I have wanted a really lightweight cordless vacuum with great versatility for Pine Daisy House. We have a dog who seems to be a nonstop shedder and life in the forest tracks in dirt constantly. Also another tricky requirement, our vacuums need to take care of small and slightly bigger jobs on tile, hardwood or carpet. We knew Dyson could cut it but the price tag has always been the deal breaker. Well, when I saw this puppy for $150 off the regular price I jumped on it! What an awesome discount!
We’ve been using it almost daily since we got it and I love how it helps keep the floor clean daily. We don’t intend on this cordless guy to be our main vacuum but as a secondary option it absolutely works perfectly. Be sure to register it just in case, and don’t forget to teach the kids how to use it too! Talk about an awesome Christmas gift (or if your refuse to buy cleaning supplies as gifts like me, it’s a great holiday season purchase 😉 )! I did a full review in my Instagram Highlights titled Cordless Dyson something or other.
That rounds up some of favorite things this season! I hope I caught some of you in time for holiday shopping because each of these would make a great gift for many on your list.
For you and your intentional home,
