My Favorite Things- A Little of Everything
It’s always my goal to keep the favorite things posts completely real. I don’t plan much in advance. I literally sit down and ask myself, “What am I loving these days?” That’s it, no rhyme or reason here. My only self imposed rule is to try and share a variety of items with you that cross most areas of my life. I go big box to family owned in this post. This is a really clear glimpse of what I’m living with right now. I’m including something that leans toward health and fitness, a beauty item, something fashion, a tech item, and finally a family owned business. Every time I hope there is a little something for each reader.
Brooks Anthem
If you’re hangin with me over on Instagram you know I have been dealing with a little plantar fasciitis (albeit a self diagnosis). These shoes by Brooks coupled with some heel seats have helped reduce my heel pain considerably. I’m still doing various stretches and am wearing highly supportive shoes nearly every day but thankfully due to this combo I’m on the road to being pain.
I’ve always been a Brooks fan, but the slight additional cushion and low profile nature of the Anthem’s fit my needs perfectly.
The Farmhouse Movement Magazine
Over the past year I’ve been enjoying a renewed delight with home decor magazines. My latest find is The Farmhouse Movement Magazine. I love the intentional living mission of the magazine. It is a celebration of authenticity and natural living. You can find it on newsstands at Sprouts or subscribe online.
This season’s issue is full of recipes, fashion, and gardening tips. Just what this Colorado gal needs since we are STILL knee deep in so much snow!
Apple AirPods
These small but mighty earphones are stinkin awesome! The price tag is a little hefty but I just love them! I got mine for Christmas and use them all.the.time. We purchased them here, they are so worth the investment.
My only concern, is losing one, ha! So I keep the little white container for them at my desk and always make sure to put the AirPods back in their case every time I’m finished using them.
The battery time is awesome too. The white case is also a charging apparatus. Once the case is charged you can unplug it and the AirPods inside keep right on charging. Have I mentioned that they are one of my favorite things right now?
Black and White Micro Stripe Dresses
I literally have a black and white striped dress in every cart. There’s one in my Amazon cart, my Old Navy cart, and I just picked one up from Target! So perfect to dress up and dress down and such staple in your spring closet! Have you been seeing them everywhere right now like I have?!? The next time you go out just look at how many black and white stripe combo’s you see. It’s an on point clothing trend for spring that’s for sure. I’ll be styling my new dress for a flat lay soon and the possibilities are endless!
Voluptuous Volume L’Oreal + They’re Real by Benefit
Yes, yes, yes… I realize that last time I shared a mascara product with you. But overall I wasn’t thrilled with it so I decided to try another type/combo. I love combining both of these products. I apply the L’Oreal mascara to my eye lashes and let them dry. Then I apply a few layers of They’re Real to my outer lashes to lengthen them. I love the result.
I am not much of a magnetic lash wearer and so I try to maximize my natural lashes any way I can. This combo is great for when you want to click up your everyday mascara.
Spring is coming
With spring a little less than a week away I’m dreaming of warmer temperatures, and small peeks of green coming up from the ground. As I look forward to the season ahead I’m enjoying these small, simple, pleasures in my life. They are some of my favorite things. As always I love sharing a variety of things with you I hope this gets you in the mood to anticipate the brighter, warmer, weeks ahead.
For you and your intentional home,
